Citizens of the countries listed on www.evisa.gov.tr are eligible to apply to the electronic visa (e-visa) system of the Republic of Türkiye, provided that they qualify the criteria below:

- having a valid visa or valid residence permit from one of the Schengen Countries, USA, UK or Ireland,

- proving that s/he holds a return ticket, hotel reservation and at least 50 USD per each day of his/her stay,

- traveling for the purposes of tourism or business,

- entering Türkiye via airports (not applicable to the land border checkpoints).

The Turkish immigration officers can only recognize a valid sticker US/Schengen/Ireland visas or Green Cards. Thus, other supporting documents (allowing you to stay in the US legally without a valid visa) are not accepted.

US ordinary passport holders are exempt from tourist visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period as of the date of entry.
