IMPORTANT NOTE FOR US CITIZENS: US ordinary passport holders are exempt from tourist visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

To work, study, conduct academic, press, archeological or scientific research, etc. in Türkiye, please continue to apply for a visa according to the guidelines listed below.

It is strongly adviced for applicants to apply at least one month prior to their intended trip.

The Consulate General does not accept requests to expedite the visa process and/or scheduling appointments for an earlier date, unless there is a proven medical emergency for the applicant. (Dental or ongoing medical treatments are not considered within this framework. Each case will be evaluated individually.)

In individual cases, the applicant may be required to provide additional documents, which may delay the visa issuance.

Please do not finalize your travel arrangements, until you are notified about the outcome of your visa application.
